With the rapid increase of vehicle conservation, traffic accidents occurred more and more frequently. If warning signal can be emitted to alert the driver before 1 second when the traffic accidents occur,90% of the accidents can be avoided. And almost all traffic accidents can be avoided if the driver can take measures promptly before 2seconds when the traffic accidents occur. The use of vehicle active safety system can effectively reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents. At present, there has been some vehicle active safety system applied in the car and it has obtained the certain effect. But vehicle active safety system in our country is mainly used to detect dangerous state rather than to research methods of warning trigger. Actually, the influence of the driver among various methods of warning trigger is different. Therefore, methods of warning trigger from auditory, visual and haptic were studied in the paper in order to find effective methods. The experimental program was established in the paper through research. And warning trigger research strategy mainly based on auditory, visual and haptic was established. Driving Simulator was used to simulate driving environment and driving conditions. The program which controlled voice, lights, vibration and their combinations was developed under conditions of Windows XP and VC++ 6.0.The experiments on driver's auditory, visual, haptic and three different combinations were performed in simulated driving environment. Under Simulation lane departure working conditions, different influences for driver manipulative behavior were compared because of single and combined methods. Firstly, the adaptive strategies were selected according to drivers'subjective judgment. Secondly, drivers'response time was verified through lane departure warning system experiment. Finally, utilizing Statistical analysis methods, more effective methods of warning were analyzed based on integration of correct operating toll, average response time and variance. In particular, the experimental data obtained by subjective judgments and Lane departure test showed that the universal law for the driver's widespread adaptability to methods of warning trigger from auditory, visual and haptic. Therefore, methods of warning trigger proposed in the paper have the general applicability. The driver had strong acceptability to methods of warning trigger on automobile active safety system in the paper. And the methods can be widely applied in automobile active safety system research and practical application. In the meantime, it can provide theoretical and technical support for relative warning system and human-machine interaction.
