| Dynamic security region (DSR) is one of the direct methods focusing on the transient stability of power system with the adjustable parameter space, which could provide a general view to the transient stability to the power system dispatcher in the control center. However, it is noteworthy that, there is little literature concerning the impact of load characteristic on the DSR,This paper explores the impact of load characteristic on the DSR, which including the constant impedance load, the constant current load, the constant power load, the induction model load, the load model consisting of constant impedance load and constant current load (ZI), the load model consisting of constant impedance load and constant power load (ZP), the load model consisting of constant current load and constant power load (IP), the load model consisting of constant impedance load and induction motor load (ZM), the load model consisting of constant current load and induction motor load (IM) and the load model consisting of constant power load and induction motor load (PM) based on the theoretical foundation of the DSR. As the introducing of the load could lead to the differential-algebraic structure of power system, so this paper develops the algorithm for the DSR of power system with load, i.e., the algorithm for the DSR of power system with DAE structure, after the presentation for the DSR algorithm for power system with ordinary differential equation structure, and models for the different kinds of load. And then, based on the simulation results, the DSR of different kinds of load is described, furthermore, the DSR of different kinds of load models is compared, finally, the impact of different kinds of load on the DSR is summarized. The above works could not only offer a theoretical deeper understanding to the nature of DSR, but also lay a firm foundation for the application of the DSR for the power system dispatch to assure the secure operation of power system. |
