The most part of asphalt pavement structure in China is semi-rigid base asphalt pavement, which has excellent intensity and anti-fatigue performance. However, many application surveys show that crack is a main damage to semi-rigid base asphalt pavement, which is a heavy cause of early asphalt pavement damage. With the development of science, researchers find that putting high-quality graded crushed stone between semi-rigid base and asphalt surface can reduce the reflective cracking of pavement[1]. Graded crushed stone as a prevention against reflective cracking is widely applied in foreign countries while it is just in the beginning phase domestically, without any technical standards of its pavement performance and thickness design for reference. For studying the practical performance of graded crushed stone applied as pavement base, this thesis paper focuses on the theoretical interior experiments and mechanical response analysis of pavement structure.First,the paper introduces physical indexes of the material and does basic performance test,based on the screen test the paper does mix design,the influencing factors of basic mechanical behavior of graded broken stone are analyzed.Secondly, after the experiments and theoretical analysis upon CBR and resilient modulus of graded crushed stone, evaluate the pavement performation of graded crushed stoneThirdly,the analysis of the sensible factors of graded crushed stone upper base structure by ABAQUS software shows that the modulus and sickness of graded crushed stone as well as the sickness of asphalt surface have much influence on the whole graded crushed stone upper base asphalt surface structure. This point needs thorough consideration in the process of pavement structure design.At last,keep every procedure of graded crushed stone project in good order to ensure its good mechanical features and stability as well as the best performance of its potential values.
