Since the state prohibit the using of clay,a major clay solid brick which is used for wall material has been out of the stage of history.That coal gangue perorated brick which is as a kind of wall material to replace clay brick became necessary. Making coal gangue perorated brick does not only use its clay minerals,but also its heat inside,which is one of the ways of using gangue, in line with our energy saving and comprehensive utilization of industrial waste policy. The coal gangue perorated brick develops and utilizes in the practical development and application, so it solves the waste rock pile which occupied of land resources and environmental pollution problems. Coal gangue perorated brick in strength,weight,thermal insulation, and other aspects of performance ss better than or close to the clay brick, so it has good development potential and prospects and plays a positive role in promoting for the healthy development of new wall materialsThis paper is about the basic mechanical properties of coal gangue perorated brick and wall study on seismic performance in order to promote this new type of building material and provide the experimental basis of wall materials for the preparation of application of a uniform technical specifications,which included the followings:1.Through the compression of the mild and flexural strength testing of gangue brick , we analyzed the factors of strength and flexural strength of coal gangue brick;and got that folding pressure ratio of gangue brick was 0.106; and knew the surface microcracks of coal gangue perorated brick was obvious against flexural strength, but had little effect on the compressive strength.2.Based on the study of compressive experiment of gangue brick, we discussed its destructive characters and intensity theory and analyzed the performance of compression deformation. The results showed that cracking load of brick masonry was 73%~95% of the destruction load when the brick masonry was under stress, cracking later, showing a significant brittle failure when it was destroyed.3. Based on the experiment of shear strength, we got its shear destructive characters and shear strength. The results showed that shear strength was 5% bigger than normative values.4.Through the test of coal gangue brick walls in the low cyclic load test, we analyzed the failure characteristics of the wall deformation, strength, stiffness, ductility and other seismic performance. Experimental studies had shown that: Increasing the levels of masonry reinforcement ratio was not good for improving cracking load it was obvious to improve the seismic capacity of masonry .Setting structural columns can be significantly improved the cracking load of masonry load, and failure mode was ideal.
