The earthquake is the type of sudden natural disasters that can have a detrimental effect on people's lives and property. A number of energy-consuming devices can be set up in the structure through the non-linear deformation of energy-consuming materials to increase the damping to meet seismic energy consumption, reduce the main structure of the earthquake response. Viscoelastic dampers has been widely used in the project because of its significant characteristics. It is essentially a speed-related and passive energy dissipation devices. However, for viscoelastic dampers'study is focused on structural steel frame, this paper will focus on a different arrangement in the form of a damper used in concrete structural framework..First of all ,the paper expound the concept of viscoelastic dampers reducing energy consumption, principles, there are variety of forms, paper made a brief introduction, and then in the above-mentioned theories of a twelve-story reinforced concrete frame structure being installed different types of dampers, not installed in the programâ… , and the programâ…¡andâ…¢were installed the damper with the center support and the eccentric support, to study the viscoelastic dampers damping performance in the structure, dynamic finite element analysis, and they were compared and eventually reach a conclusion.The results show that, the effect is obvious ,for reinforced concrete frame structure, oblique support series viscoelastic damper than the pure framework and also the center support than the pure framework .In a word, it is inclined to support the viscoelastic dampers with the energy-damping performance being superior to pure bad frame structure and support center in the layout of the framework structure of the damper system .
