The Study On The Countermeasure Of Congestion Control Of Urban Traffic

Urban traffic is one of the important factors that influences and drives the development of the function layout of the whole city, and improves our lives and travel conditions in the city. With the process of urban traffic mobility growing fast, the increase of the travel gross and the change of the travel structure break the original balance between the supply and demand of urban traffic. And it causes traffic congestion that brings about a series of problems, such as the increase of travel time and cost, the decline of service level and environmental degradation. The problems impose enormous pressure on the social economy in the city and the resident life. Therefore, exploring the countermeasure of congestion control of urban traffic that limit the efficient, ordered, stabilized and sustainable development of city is a task that has real sense.The paper first expounds the concept, property, character and the relevant study on the urban traffic congestion, and analyzes of the cause of formation based on the goods theory and the externalities theory. On that basis, the paper carries on research on the pattern of traffic management from multiple angles such as the supply and demand of urban traffic. Based on the successful case at home and abroad, it explores the macro strategy and macro approach of congestion control of urban traffic. Then, the paper aims at the realistic traffic situation of Lianyungang city, and states the reason of cross traffic congestion from urban space, road structure and so on. Meanwhile, it puts forward development strategy of the public traffic which is efficient, speedy, punctual and comfortable, and provides basic and perceptiveness security for the social and economic development of Lianyungang city.
