| This paper presents opening lead-acid battery electrolyte density ultrasonic measurement. After fully grasp the features of the ultrasound propagation in liquid, According to the principle of ultrasound propagation in various liquids at different speeds, fixing the ultrasonic wave propagation distance, so, the propagation velocity changes will change into the propagation time changes. Therefore, establishing a one to one relationship with a liquid density and the propagation time. As the function of the liquid propagation time and density is nonlinear and has no specific formula, the fitting function solution is gave, the sample database is established. At the same time, the ultrasonic transducer, suitable for sulfuric acid electrolyte, is designed and made. Considering the fast transmission speed of the ultrasound in the liquid and the signal resolution difficulties, an electrolyte density measurement system is developed, to realize the electrolyte density on-line measurement of the opening lead-acid battery, with C8051F120 MCU as a quick signal processing system. In full consideration of temperature on the measuring system, the measurement system hardware and software design is completed. The online measurement system, whose core data and control processing centers is C8051F120, includes the ultrasonic transducer, ultrasonic transmitting circuit, ultrasonic receiving circuit and an external storage circuit. It has high accuracy, real time, user-friendly, stable performance characteristics.After completing the system, a number of experimental verification was done, which proves that the accuracy of the system can reach 0.001g/cm3, measuring only about 1 minute at one time, data stable, fast online measurements. It meet the requirements of industrial scene. |
