In corrugated paper shaping process, the phenomenon of low-height corrugation and shredded paper were often happened because of corrugated roller's bad contact performance. Corrugated roller's deflection was the main factor influenced corrugated roller's contact performance. The purpose of corrugated roller convex curve design was corrugated roller's deflection compensated and contact performance improved. This paper analyzed corrugated roller's defection used finite element method. Based on corrugated roller's deflection compensated, the convex curve design of corrugated roller was researched. Corrugated roller's contact performance in different convex curve forms was researched too.Firstly, single corrugated machine's working principle and corrugated roller's structure and tooth profile parameters were studied. High-precision corrugated roller finite element model and reasonable constraints and loads were researched, to ensure the accuracy of corrugated roller finite element analysis.Secondly, corrugated roller's parametric finite element model was established using mapped meshing.Corrugated roller's contact elements were refined with element's nodes generation method and split step by step method to ensure the accuracy of corrugated roller's finite element model.In order to improve the contact analysis efficiency of corrugated roller, super-element finite element model of corrugated roller was established to realize overall corrugated roller stiffness matrix reduced and reduce the solving difficulty of corrugated roller contact analysis.Thirdly, based on finite element structure analysis method, the uniform section corrugated roller's deflection was researched. To verify the accuracy of corrugated roller finite element model, the deflection and the material mechanic theory result were compared. The multi-diameter shaft corrugated roller's deflection was studied, too.Based on corrugated roller's maximum deflection, the parabolic form corrugated roller convex curve was designed. The cubic spline form corrugated roller convex curve was designed to compensate corrugated roller's deflection point by point.Finally, based on finite element contact analysis method, non-compensated corrugated roller's deflection and used parabolic, cubic spline curve form corrugated roller contact performance were researched. For the parabolic form convex curve design, twice corrugated roller deflection was the corrugated roller's best height value. Comparing with non-compensated corrugated roller deflection, its middle part's contact performance was greatly improved used parabolic form convex curve corrugated roller. Comparing parabolic form corrugated roller, its maximum contact pressure was smaller, contact width was greater and contact performance was further improved used cubic spline form corrugated roller.
