As the water conveyance structure, large-scale aqueduct is an important link of the system of south-to-north water diversion project. To ensure the safety of large-scale aqueduct under the action of the earthquake has the extremely vital significance. The current code for seismic design of hydraulic structures don't mention seismic design method of aqueduct, so the seismic design of aqueduct is nothing to follow now. As the cutting-edge technology of civil engineering disaster areas, structural vibration control technology attract extensive attention from scholars both at home and abroad, and make more abundant research achievements. Access to relevant information find that structural vibration control technology is mainly applied to building and bridge structure. Some scholars have carried out research on seismic isolation technology for aqueduct. However, isolation control has a limited carrying capacity, poor durability, bad trip reset after the earthquake and relatively narrow tuning range of seismic excitation.The semi-active control technology has the obvious superiority and has been the most acceptable civil engineering structure damping control method.So the study on active variable damping control for large-scale aqueduct structures has the important practical significance. According to the basic principle of active variable damping control, this carry out research on active variable damping semi-active control for large aqueduct structures, main content as follows:1. This introduces structural system and working principle of various vibration control method, points out their advantages and existing problems in engineering application, and summarizes the semi-active control superiority of civil engineering structure;2. This introduces the dynamic analysis model of a large-scale aqueduct and explains the method of seismic wave selection and motivation of the solution of differential equations;3. This introduce the basic principle and calculation model of active damping control variable device. Combined with examples calculated semi-active control algorithm control effect with three kinds of semi-active control algorithm. Calculation results show that Hrovat bound algorithm for Optimal Controlhas good control effect;4. This reserched the active aqueduct variable damping control for a large-scale aqueduct of south-to-north water transfer project. The results show that the active variable damping control for Large aqueduct structures can better control the response of structures under the earthquake. It is an effective method of disaster mitigation. Active variable damping control is unconditional stability. Active variable damping device can effectively tracking and achieve the goal of optimal control initiative with the optimal bounding criterion semi-active control algorithms.
