According to the high viscosity, fine powder and easy reunion feature of lithium-ion batteries'slurry and incomplete mixing, low efficiency and high power consumption of the common mixing equipment, a new idea and method of integrating optimization of macro mixing technology and micro dispersion technique was proposed. In order to increase the efficiency of lithium battery slurry and dispersing quality, this paper studied the characteristic of lithium-ion battery slurry and the high-shear dispersion mechanism, designed new high-shear superfine dispersion equipment and high effective dispersion system.In this paper, the characteristic of lithium-ion battery slurry and the high-shear dispersion mechanism were analyzed. In order to research the flow distributions of the super shearing scattered. In this paper, according to basal hydro mechanical equation and mathematic theorem, the distribution of liquid flow-field at the rotor and stator in the high shearing zone and the notching was established, and the place of the maximum shear stress was analyzed too. The qualitative geometric parameters, the working parameters on the effect of dispersion were gained. The different structure of impeller, stator slot width and impeller parameters such as speed were discussed. The results of the research will provide some guidance for the later research.According to the simulation results, certain key component and the overall structures were designed based on the original ultra-shear dispersion mechanism. The flow patterns in high shearing disperser have been performed by numerical simulation using commercial computational fluid dynamics package. The wall shear stress field, pressure field, velocity field and the volume fraction of second phase were discussed. According to the problems of the lithium-ion battery slurry, a new idea and method of macro mixing technology and micro dispersion technique was integrated. Base on the new technique, the high effective dispersion system for lithium-ion battery slurry was designed. It provides certain theoretical and equipment basis to optimize the machine for improving the effects of dispersion.Some experiments for dispersing the cathode lithium ion slurry have been done by the high shearing disperser and traditional production technology. The results show that utilization of the high-shear technology in the lithium ion battery slurry is beneficial to not only improve its uniform quality and mixing efficiency remarkably, but also reduce the dosage of medium, shorten the baking time and raising the coating efficiency.
