The building layout structures are different because of the local weather condition in the different climate areas in China, leading to the different characteristics of the environment in city streets and between buildings.This paper studies the thermal environment in the vicinity of buildings, the thermal environment around the buildings and energy saving in winter for some typical layout structre buildings.The numerical simulation programme has been validated by the existed experimental data, the temperature and flow surrounding the four kind building models choosed are simulated with computational fluid dynamic(CFD) model, and the results are analysed and discussed. Meanwhile, simulate the sunshine area using suncast procedures for the four different models, and analyses the effects of architecture and the space of buildings on sunshine area with simulations, and measuring two courts with temperature-humidity instru-ment In addition, according to the numerical simulations, calculate the energy consumptionas changing the architecture, and assessment the thermal comfort with the wind cooling index(WCI) index arrounding the building in winter.The simulation results with Suncast program show that, the major factor that influences the the sunshine area is architecture in summer, and the space in winter. After calculating energy conservation with the numerical simulations of flow around avariety of buildings, it is to be found that, the energy conservation effect of two kinds of courtyard is more obvious, especially for enclosed court in winter, and it is not outstanding for the detenninant and staggered buildings. Draw the following rules after the data analysis:when the enclosed court compared to the un-enclosed court, the former temperature of courtyard is higher than the latter, and the value is little changed as time flow,namely, it is easier for enclosed court to access stable and comfortable environment. The laws of temperature and humidity for courtyard and the single building are different. The results of assessmenting the thermal comfort with the wind cooling index indicate that, the distribution of WCI and the flow surrounding the buildings is general consistent.
