Seawater hydraulic drive's working medium is seawater. It has advantages such as compatible with the marine environment, no environmental pollution, good resistance to combustion, high-power, easy maintenance and simple structure. So in the field of marine engineering it has extremely broad application prospects. In this paper, a seawater plunger reciprocating pump which is directly working in deep sea environment has been designed. The pump has advantages such as balance the pressure difference, corrosion and abrasion resistance and light weight. And these advantages make the pump works in the deep sea.The paper is divided into five chapters. In chapter one, it introduces the research significance and applications of the deep seawater pump, the current situation of research at home and abroad. The key technology developed by sea water pump is analyzed. The main contents of this paper are described totally.The second chapter describes the overall objective of deep sea-water pump. Determine the overall structure of the pump plunger reciprocating pump. Choose the material of the parts of pump and calculated the basic structural parameters of the pump.In chapter three, by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the commonly used pressure compensation technology in deep sea-water pump, in this paper the bladder pressure compensated technology was applied to the deep seawater pump. And calculated the volume size of the compensation needed bladder. Then verified the availability of this compensation technology by experiment.In chapter four analyzes a new type of plunger seals-Lancaster seal ring was proposed after analyzed the work environment requires of sea water pump and common shortcomings of seal used in the plunger chamber sealing. Analyzed the effect of compressions of Lancasterslip ring on the sealing performance and friction properties. By the ANSYS software. The simulation result was verified by the high-pressure position experiment of the Lancaster pilot in the seawater pump.In chapter five, after comparing the commonly used structure of port valve and analyzed the performance requirements of the seawater hydraulic piston pump, the poppet valve was applied to distribute the flow in this paper. The AMESim software was used to analyze the impact of the parameters of the valve such as clearance volume, valve quality, environmental pressure and preload on the performance of the pump and fix some parameters of the port valve. At last, doing some experiments to verify the correction of the simulation results.In chapter six, summarized the full text, and prospect for the further study of this subject.
