There are lots of earthquakes and disasters in our country. When it happens government will spend large amounts of money to save the victims and help them rebuild their homeland. The tent now we use can not totally be suit for disaster area and others which some developing countries used are too expensive to afford. Except that it still have some disadvantages such as pollution smaller and so on. In order to solve these problems we need invent a new kind of tent to take the place of old one. we call the new tent—Large Refugee Tent, LRT for short.This article divide into three parts include choose structure, construction and analogy analysis for temperature. First use PKPM software making 4 models,calculate it with different wind load and snow load information from national laws, According to the results confirm sectional dimension roughly. We know that the PKPM software is not accurate enough so we continue use ABAQUS software to calculate that models. Obtain the different results of force and deformation in different wind pressure such as 0.2kn/m2 0.3kn/m2 and 0.45kn/m2. When wind pressure is 0.45kn/m2 (equal to 100km/h) the force is about 233Mpa and 8.9cm for deformation. That's meet the requirement for tent use. According to the conclusion the comparison table will be made and choose the best shape of the LRT. In this part the final shape can't be determined. Because choose LRT tent not only think about mechanical property but also consider transportation storage and construction.Part two is about how to construct this tent, there are two choices. One is "up to down" the other is "left to right" .In this article you can find whole details about the two methods. The latter is much easier to make. Combine force analysis the "left to right" method come to the conclusion.Temperature change can influence tent a lot. In the hot summer the inside temperature can reach 41℃-43℃。Human being must feel uncomfortable if the temperature beyond 35℃.It is easy to degrade the temperature during summer by ventilation however it is not that easy in winter. We continue use ABAQUS analyze tent temperature try to find out the different between outside and inside.The conclusion is that LRT can do a good job as temporary shelter and can replace old one.
