The traffic simulation technology is an important foundation for the rapid development of transport system. However, there is a big deviation between the traditional transport simulation platform and the actual road conditions in the network model, the experimental data, and so on, which leads to the usual experimental results on the transport system with the limited help to practice. It is very necessary to establish a traffic system simulation platform according to the actual traffic conditions of urban road that it can successfully achieve a variety of traffic simulation.This paper relys on PARAMICS and the transportation database of our laboratory project, the integrated application system of grid vehicle license plate recognition in Shenzhen city, to design a transport simulation platform. This platform builds a network model on PARAMICS based on the Shenzhen map, and then uses the historical data of the Shenzhen traffic flow to complete the experiment, which ensures the authenticity, accuracy and reliability of laboratory results. Through the platform of the transport system, it can achieve evaluation, control and prediction of the traffic system. The main work of this dissertation is given as follows:1. It establishes the database to store the Shenzhen historical road traffic flow. According to characteristics of traffic flow data and needs of PARAMICS, it also considers the structure design of the database and the pre-processing of historical data.2. Through the analysis on the historical data of traffic flow, it selects the region of network model and the start and the end time of simulation.The network model on Paramics is completed, and the associated parameters are set.3. Based on this transport system simulation platform, the evaluation, control and prediction of the traffic system are conducted. The experimental results are analyzed.
