Traditional dense-graded asphalt pavement has many problems which influence the safety of driving vehicles especially on rainy days, such as hydroplaning, spray and splash behind vehicles.Because porous asphalt concrete pavement is anti-sliding, can reduce noise and has long life, it is put forward to solve these problems. Based on reconstruction of Xiaoshan Airport Expressway, the raw material, mix composition design, construction technology and pavement performance of porous asphalt concrete pavement are studied in this thesis.The technological indices and requirements of raw materials are put forward and the applicabilities of the raw materials in Hangzhou region are analyzed based on survey and experiments. The optimum content of TPS is 12% of total asphalt. The key control sieve pore is determined based on the analysis on the relationship between different gradations and air void ratio. Consequently the mix composition design method of porous asphalt concrete based on pavement performance is found.Based on laboratory experiments and mechanism analysis, the pavement performances of porous asphalt concrete pavement, such as permeability, high temperature stability, water stability and anti-sliding are studied, and sensitivity analysis on the pavement performance of porous asphalt concrete pavement is conducted also.According to the reconstruction of Xiaoshan Airport Expressway, construction technology and quality control indices of porous asphalt concrete pavement are summarized. And the pavement performances, such as permeability, anti-sliding and high temperature stability, of test pavement are tested. Results show that the test pavement has good pavement performance.The research results of this thesis are useful for the application of porous asphalt concrete pavement in the south of China with high temperature and rich rain.
