Dongguan With Its Power Harmonic Monitoring A Comprehensive Study Of Hazards

Power harmonic pollution and harmonic elimination have always been an important problem in electric industry. In recent years, with the national economy rapidly development particularly in the manufacturing industry, a great deal of equipment with non-linear electrical characteristics have been introduced, such as a strong non-linear characteristics of the arc for the work of media equipment, switching power equipment based on power electronic element and so on. This equipment is typical harmonic source and brings a lot of harmonic pollution. Dongguan, which locates in the Pearl River Delta region, is the famous "world factory", where a variety of manufacturing industries are highly developed. And the harmonic pollution of the Dongguan grid is particularly prominent.It is necessary to measure the harmonics by manual work in the field of Dongguan distribution network to collect first-hand harmonic reliable information without the on-line harmonics monitoring system in the Dongguan distribution network.In order to quickly master the harmonic pollution in Dongguan, after studying survey of the distribution network in Dongguan and coordination with various departments of Dongguan Power Supply Bureau, then considering the power grid structure and characteristics of the load, the authors select 8 towns, 131 enterprises, 247 distribution transforms of Dongguan city to monitor.After obtaining a large number of monitoring data, the author analyzes these data and finally get harmonic pollution situation in Dongguan network. The results show that harmonic pollution of the distribution network in Dongguan is more severe than our expected and the harmonic pollution situation are very grim. Almost half of the enterprises in some trades have become the standard harmonic sources.Meanwhile, this paper promotes to calculate various types of loss caused by harmonic problems for the purpose of the harmonic evaluation; According to the characteristics of Dongguan distribution network harmonics, it puts forward the proposals of harmonic monitoring sites setting principles, the proposals of detecting network regional partition, the proposals of detecting network construction model, the relevant proposals of harmonic monitoring and management, etc.
