Study Of Urban Road Traffic Control Based On The ATC System

Intellective traffic control system is the important part of intellective traffic system. ATC system has more brainpower than other traffic control mode. ATC system adopt advanced traffic engineering theory, worked in logic and reasonable traffic setting, modulating the traffic control plans by real time, achieving the objective of improving the traffic status.Over the past few years, intellective traffic control had a obvious improvement in our country, but the applying impact is not well in many cities, indeed the intellective traffic control system was abandoned in few cities. Didn't use the system logic and reasonably is the main reason for this. Gather together the reasons, first is haven't analyzed the traffic characteristic with logic and reasonable; second is haven't modulated the setting of system base on the traffic characteristic; third is haven't impersonal estimated the traffic status and traffic control plans. In view of this, the following contents were involved in the paper:(1) Studied on the characters of ATC system. Studied the software and hardware composing of ATC system, the structure of the system, function of the system, peculiarity of traffic control in the system, the assistant ware and the communication technology, prepare for using well the function of the system.(2) Studied the time characters of the junction traffic flow in Urumqi City.(3) Studied the designing and optimizing of traffic control plan, involve the setting of traffic parameters.(4) Studied traffic simulation based on the Trasyt-7F software, and optimization and evaluation of traffic control plans.
