Pulsed power technology is of such great importance that it is applied widely in the field of national defense scientific research, high-tech research and commercial industry, etc. At present, the general trend of the pulsed power technology is to enhance the power level, and its main research direction includes the power energy density, high-power switch and high-repetition-frequency high-power pulse. The charging speed and efficiency of the capacitor, a common energy storage device, is crystal prerequisite for the pulsed power technology. As the development of repetition rate pulsed power technology, the traditional charging method characterized by large size, slow-speed has been unable to meet the current requirements of high power, high efficiency and small size. Capacitor charging power supply with constant current using switching power supply technology is designed to fulfill these demands, which is also the trend of development for the constant current charging technology.In the paper, Series Resonant Converter, Parallel Resonant Converter,and Series Parallel Resonant Converter were examined with MATLAB, whose performance were compared, which lay the foundation for the choice of the program.The author analyzed static and dynamic performance of the selected full-bridge series resonant converter and derived some theoretical general formulas in ideal conditions, which was verified by MATLAB simulation.As for the actual situation, the author based on the ideal model, taking the parasitic parameters of the circuit into account, came to the actual circuit topology model of the full-bridge series-resonant capacitor charging power supply, according to which, a full-bridge series resonant converter capacitor charging power supply prototype were designed using current-feedback control strategy.
