Hydrostatic/Hydrodynamic floating-ring bearings have become more and more popular in many high-speed, super-high-speed and super-high-precision grinding rotating machines due to their remarkable characteristics in respect of low friction, high accuracy, smooth operation etc. In high-speed heavy load bearings, the bearing capacity and friction have become constraints on the performance of the rotor system, and the values of bearing structure have a great influence on its characteristic coefficient. Therefore, how to select the optimal structural parameters is the basis of improving the bearing performance so that the high-speed heavy load bearings could meet the requirements of bearing capacity and reduce the friction power consumption and temperature rise.This dissertation presents an optimization study concerning the static and dynamic characteristics of hybrid journal-thrust floating ring bearing with inner and outer fluid film independent oil supply. The structure parameters optimization model and the bearing performance model were established with finite element method simulation.This dissertation focuses on the following two aspects:1.Structural parameters optimization design of hydrostatic/hydrodynamic journal-thrust floating ring bearings with independent oil supply.Based on laminar current theory, the equations governing the flow of inner and outer fluid film in the journal-thrust floating ring hybrid bearing are set up with FEM simulation.On this base, the structure parameters optimizations model is established with complex method.This dissertation gives inner and outer fluid film mathematical models for optimization, and solves the optimization design with complex method individually. The optimized algorithm is implemented with VC++ to calculate the optimization results of inner and outer fluid film in different speeds and eccentricities.Then the optimized structural parameters are applyed to the floating-ring bearing to calculate inner and outer films' characteristic coefficients in equilibrium condition.2.Development of sliding bearing design software.Sliding bearing design software is developed for the static and dynamic characteristic coefficients FEM simulation and analyses.It uses the OOP technology, and can be used to calculate and analyses the static and dynamic characteristic coefficients of different bearing system conveniently.The development of this software can improve the design efficiency of Hydrostatic/hybrid bearing efficiently.Compared with the traditional design methods, the optimization design can decrease bearing friction power loss obviously and make the bearing structure parameters more reasonable. The development of sliding bearing design software improves the design efficiency of Hydrostatic/hybrid bearing. Above all, the research fruits in this paper have important value for the design of hydrostatic/hydrodynamic bearing.
