Under the serious situation of pollution and energy crisis, the solar energy as green energy is paid more attention by many countries. Photovoltaic generation is very promising, especially the independent photovoltaic system provided power for users in remote areas. In our country, there are several thousands mines, almost all the miner's lamp charging system is provided power by using fossil fuels, which waste energy, pollute the environment and make large amounts of emissions and harmful gas. Therefore, the application of solar generation in the coal industry is studied.In other words, the solar generation system is used to provide power to the charging set for cap lamps.Firstly, the working principle and the output characteristics of photovoltaic cells are analyzed in detail. According to the engineering model and mathematical formula, the model of solar cell is established by Matlab simulation. And then, through the analysis and comparison some MPPT control methods, a new method is adopted, which combine constant voltage tracking, incremental conductance algorithm and variable step method. In this system, the tacking for maximum power point is controlled by altering the conduction time of triggering pulse for Boost converter.Secondly, bidirectional DC/DC converter is applied in the system to control power energy bidirectional energy transmission. The core of energy management in this system is to control the bidirectional DC/DC converter work in different modes according to the situation of PV arrays and batteries. This circuit can make PV arrays and batteries woke together effectively.Furthermore, DSP is used to realize MPPT in the designed system, select working mode for bidirectional DC/DC converter, generate SPWM signal, and so on. In addition to this, the sampling and protect circuits are designed preliminary.Finally, all work of this paper is summaried and the future research plan is presented.
