CAE technology has been more and more widely used in the production of plastic injection molding technology.It can predict the result of post-molding plastic parts before the mold be manufactured,allow designers to identify problems and make changes then to optimize the design.Practice has proved that the simulation technology of Plastic injection molding play a key role in optimize the mold design,improve the quality of plastic products and reduce the cost.This article apply Moldflow to Simulate the process of molding of B Pillar-underplate and find the deficiencies in the process of mold manufacturing.So we can optimize the design of mold-tructure and injection parameters in the right way.It can simplify the design process effectively,improve the design efficiency and reduce the cost.So it has a strong parctical.Frist,this article take a brief overview about the development of the mold industry at home and abroad,then pointed out the development and research significance of the injection molding CAE technology at home and abord,formulate the research program and technology roadmap against the B Pillar-underplate.Secondly,has introduced the basic principle of injection molding plastic parts, the basic funcyions of Mlodflow, the knowledge of FEM analysis to B Pillar-underplate.Thirdly,this article describes the pre-trestment of use Mlodflow/MPI on the B Pillar-underplate(including the division and modification of FEM-mesh)and the simulation process.Finally,this article has designed four sets of gating system program according to the characteristics of a two-cavity mold and itself.Forecast the flow of molten plastic in cavity filling through Flow Analysis then find the best gating system program.And set the several groups of different mold surface temperature on the base of this best gating system then find the best surface temperature.Findly,we can find the best Melt temperature on the base of best gating system and surface temperature use the same way. Also we can get the best Injection pressure and the best Pcaking pressure.Design the Injection Mlod base on the gating system and apply the optimal parameyers to the actual injection process.The results proved that it's can expose the unreasonable program in the injection molding process.So we can get the best parameters effective.We get the best Gating system,the best Mold-surface temperature(25℃), the best Melt temperature(225℃), the Injection Pressure(61.26Mpa)and the best Packing pressure(49.01 Mpa)through Moldflow.Then design and optimize the injection mold for B Pillar-underplate according to the best Gating system.The Plastic filling full-uniform and flow balance in the injection molding process based on the best parameters.The melt both sides of the Gate filled the cavity at the same time,so we get an ideal Gating system.We get the best injection effect in the lowest production costs and the maximum production efficiency,at the same time it greatly reduced the time for mold design, improve the design efficiency, ensure the design quality.
