The housing is the essential physical conditions for people's lives, and it is also the most basic material subsistence in people's lives. It can satisfy the multi-level of people' s demands, such as the survival, develops and even enjoys. Housing area is the important composition of city.It not only provides the space and the place for the residents,but also creates the nice community landscape environment to meet occupant's psychological need. Landscape environment of housing area is composed by all kinds of elements,such as terrain landform,path,plants,flinty paving, sketch, architectural style, waterbody and so on.In recent years, in the one hand, landscape design has developed greatly and experienced a series of achievements in China, but in the other hand, a number of problems were also produced. It take negative impacts of the residential landscape environment development. Many factors are contributed to the cause of the problem.The landscape environment is a compound composed of many factors. It shall comform to the consideration and coordination among many areas to do more benefits for the residents, to add the luster to the city.This paper takes the residential landscape environment as the objects. Through study on the theoretical background of the residential landscape environment of Chinese people and investigations on the present residential landscape environment and using situation of the residents of China,I summary the problems of urban residential landscape environment in our country nowadays, and obtain the goal, the principle and the method of the residential landscape design. Combined with the specific conditions in Wuhan, then discussed the method of the residential landscape environment in the city of Wuhan。Finally it takes Wuhan "Renxin thousand years beauty " for example.
