Dagushan preparation Plant of Anshan Mining Co., Ansteel Group was set up and began to produce in 1955, It is mainly made up of three workshops:crushing, magnetic separation wokshop and third separation Workshop. The magnetic separation wokshop's production covers over two third of the total factory,per year.In order to increase concentrate grade,Anshan Mining Company carried out technical innovation at the end of the 2004 at the magnetic separation wokshop of Dagushan preparation Plant applying technology of phase-grinding, magnetic separation and fine screen regrinding circuit. By debugging the work flow, the technical target for separation is:ore grade is 32.25%, concentrate grade is 67.38%, tail grade is 9.53%. but the capacity of primary grinding is small,only 132 tons per hour(wet).Though an examination of in grinding and classification operation, some problems were found out:the work parameter was not optimized to adapt the high production of ball mill. The overflow size of cyclone turnerd coarse after the capacity of the primary increased which made the working procedure insufficient to increase the final grade. So a test work was carried out with optimizing the parameter of cyclone, which proved how primary parameter of cyclone influence the overflow size of grinding and classification operation. Finally, capacity of primary grinding increased to 137 tons per hour. At the same time, the overflow particle size in grinding and classification operation adapted the needs of the work flow.Otherwise,a test work was carried out to stabilizing quality in magnetic working procedure useing magnetic watering cell (SCTΦ4.5m).It proved that index of magnetic watering cell (SCTΦ4.5m)is steady and better than that of F3m with the same feeding mineral. Further more,magnetic field is reasonable which is in favor of reuniting for magnetic minerals. Magnetic watering cell (SCTΦ4.5m)can not only improve the separation effect but also increase the reclaim ability for magnetic minerals.
