It is well-known that slightly inclined deposit with medium thickness is difficultly extracted. Key points related to cut and fill method for this kind of deposit in Xinqiao Mining Co., Ltd (XMC), Tongling, Anhui province, China, were studied in detail in this paper, using comprehensive researching means such as field investigation and test, thereoritcal analysis, scheme design and numerical simulation. The main contents and conclusions are summarized as follows:Firstly, economical and safe size and mining sequence of stopes were suggested by numerical simulation, using finite element software ANSYS. In detail, rooms and pillars should be arranged alternatively with respective width of 14m and 10m, and middle stope should be extracted prior to two side stopes.Secondly, preparation, cut and extraction works related to mechanized cut and fill mining in XMC were designed.Thirdly, blast parameter ranges were given by blast crater test and practical blasting experiment in stope, and then final optimum blast parameters, row space and role space being 1.1m and 1.3m respectively, were determined by BP neural net analysis.Fourthly, influencing factors on efficiency of scraper and drill jumbo were clarified, improvement measures were proposed, and optimumu matches of these trackless mining equipments were given, based on filed survey of their working parameters. Finally, field experiment indicated that advanced technology developed in this paper was reliable and had great direct economic benifit. Researching results can not only solve key techanical problems faced to XMC, but also make a contribution to techanical advancemene of mechanized cut and fill mining.
