| With the increase of people’s consumption consciousness, people’s requirements on clothing are no longer stay in cover the body, warmth, strong and durable, but more comfortable, healthy and beautiful. Snagging not only affect the appearance of the fabric, but also cause the decline of fabric durability. So the resistance of snag performance is one of the most important examination indicators to test the fabrics’ properties. Therefore, it is necessity to research the factors which influence on the snag performance of woven fabric in order to solve this problem in origin.By consulting the standard photograph, the snag performance can be evaluated. However, there is no standard photograph for snag of woven fabric in China. The increase in the cost of inspection is caused by foreign imports. Therefore, it is the best way to solve the problem by developing the standard photograph.In this paper, the mechanical model of snag is established and the effect on snag performance is analyzed from fiber, yarn, the fabric structure and fabric surface friction properties. In terms of fiber and yarn, as influenced by their own properties and structure, different type of fibers and yarns have different snag performance. The line density and twist of yarn also have influence on the snag performance.In this thesis, the relationship between the structure parameters of the fabric and the snag performance is analyzed. Through the analysis, the relationship between the line density of yarn, the density of yarn, fabric tightness, fabric structure coefficient and the snag performance are obtained and two models are deducted based on them using linear regression analysis. The two models prove that fabric structure coefficientis the most striking factor to the snag performance.And then, the relation between the fabric surface friction property and the snag performance is analyzed. The fabric surface friction property such as MIUt, MIUw, MMDT, MMDW, SMDT and SMDW are evaluated by the KES-FB4 handle tester. The linear regression analysis is carried to find relation between the snag performance and the fabric surface friction property, and the regression equation indicates that the snag performance has the close relation with SMD.At last, according to the research conclusion, a set of standard photograph for snag of woven fabrics developed to fill the domestic blank in this area. |
