At present, with the improvement of science and technology and production level, the composite of materials have become increasingly obvious, and the fiber reinforced composite materials are very popular and also more and more widely applied owing to their well advantages such as light weight, high strength, anticorrosion noise reduction, high cost-performance and can be designed about performance. At the same time, with the strengthening of the environmental protection consciousness of people, the green environmental protection materials have become the focus, and the ramie fiber is the preferred material for the reinforced fiber in composite materials with the well characteristics such as excellent mechanical properties, renewable, easy degradation and low price.As a kind of external fixator widely used to treat bone injury, medical splints are used by traditional wood for a long time, and widely reviled because of the defects of poor permeability and to ensure the pressure between splints rely on doctors’ experience in the process of use. With the rapid development of the composite material technology, applications of the fiber reinforced composite materials in the field of orthopedic medical have become a research hotspot. Our country is the production super-country of ramie fiber, and using ramie fiber in the fields about medical splint of reinforced polymer composites has a great manning to make full use of ramie resource in our country, at the same time also greatly promoted the research and development of new materials about medical splint.In this thesis, properties and mechanical properties of ramie/epoxy composite samples and ramie/PP composite samples were studied further, and the application of FSR402 pressure sensor on splints of ramie composite was also studied. The composite plates with reinforced material of degummed ramie through degumming and matrix of epoxy resin and polypropylene (PP) were prepared, and their fiber volume contents were10%,15%,20%,25%,30% and35%, and then their compression, flexural and shearing property were studied by testing and comparing the analysis. It shows that the change of the fiber volume content caused different degree of influence for two kinds of resin matrix composites, and led to different trends about compression, flexural and shearing strength. By comparing two kinds of composite materials with same fiber volume content, the ramie/PP composites have some characteristics such as poor performance, low increment of strength, obvious effect of pulling-out of fiber and cross-sections destroyed seriously. Comprehensive analysis of the performance of the composite materials, the performance of ramie/epoxy composites is excellent, and the ramie/epoxy composite is the best process to make medical splint whose fiber volume content is 20%.The comprehensive performance of ramie/epoxy resin composites is superior to the ramie/PP composite materials, and it is the best choice to make medical splint in consideration of its later use and security. So installed the sensor on this material splint, and ensured the installation method of sensor as pasting columnar lumps on the sensor. The experiment on the tester proved that the results can achieve the experimental purposes and requirements, and it laid a foundation for the research and development and clinical application of intelligent medical splints.
