Wire cutting is one kind of precision processing, and its end-use is increasingly enlarge. The cutting fluid is an essential part in the processing of cutting. At the same time the amount of it increases rapidly. The preparation of water-based cutting fluid for a single metal was studied and the cutting technics was also modeled in this paper.In this paper, the effect of conductivity of the composites in cutting fluid on rate and quality of cutting technics based on the basic recipe by using the orthogonal test method was researched. The basic components of the cutting fluid in the formula determine the primary and secondary of the conductivity was: triethanolamine> normal butanol> ethylenediamin etetraacetic acid(EDTA)> sodium dodecyl sulfate > adhesive(PVA)> sucrose >polyglycol -400(PEG-400)>polyoxyetylated alkylphenol(OP-10). Through the adjustment of triethanolamine which is the most affected factor of rate and the impact of the cutting surface roughness. Make the linear trend and determine the best fitting curve and then based on a point on the curve to chek the fitting curve's deviation by cutting machine. Finally fix the best cutting technology curve.The relationship of basic components in the formula and kinematic viscosity was studied in this paper:OP-10>triethanolamine> PVA> detergent>PEG-400>sucrose> normal butanol butanol>EDTA. By the amount of OP-10 as is the greatest impact on kinematic viscosity to sure kinematic viscosity effects on the trend of cutting efficiency and surface roughness. OP-10 was modeled to describe the curve of cutting speed and cutting surface and verify the bias of the curve.Triethanolamine could effect the conductivity and kinematic viscosity of cutting fluid, but OP-10 had greater impact on viscosity which almost hardly effect on the conductivity. So the conductivity was adjusted by adjusting triethanolamine following by adjusting kinematic viscosity through regulating the amount of OP-10. Since the poor anti-rustiness properties of water-based cutting fluid. The anti-rustiness properties was improved by adding corrosion inhibitor of self-making to cutting fluid. The result is that, the anti-rustiness properties of cutting fluid was enhanced by using corrosion inhibitor.
