The study of Schiff Base has ranged from early simple structures to large frames. People are so interested in the compounds of benzimidazole because of their outstanding properties of biochemistry and medication. Here we synthesized two schiff bases which contain the structure of benzimidazole, cultivated its copper complexes crystals, and characterized their crystal structures. Porphyrin is a kind of organic heterocyclic compounds which contains large ring conjugate structure and possesses aromaticity. The specific and excellent properties of porphyrins intrigues researchers in many fields, especially the investigators who dig themselves into Dye Sensitized Solar Cells(DSSC). The compounds of acylthdrazones also belong to the family of schiff base. Allowing for the eximious features and useful value of porphyrins and acylhydrazones, we combined the two fragments, not only it is a novel strategy to modify porphyrins, but also provides significance in both theory and practical utilization. A series of significant results and developments have been achieved and the main interesting results are as follow:1. Two schiff bases which contain the unit of benzimidazole were successfully synthesized from original materials, their structures were characterized. And three copper complexes were synthesized and their crystal structures were determined.2. Three tetrahydrozone-zincporphyrins and some of their corresponding complexes were synthesized and characterized by property means. Then the preliminary photoelectronic properties of these complexes were studied.
