AFC of round_link chains is suitable for parametric design be cause of it's structure isinvariable almostly, Specification of chain wheel is numerous . Chain wheel is the mostimportant part of AFC. Running status of the drive system composed of the round_link chainand the chain wheel determines the running status of the AFC. Chain wheel can bema nufactured accurately in CNC machining process, three-dimensiona l parametric designedthe chain wheel, the round_link chains dynamics simulation analysis can provide the designbasis for the AFC.In Pro/ENGINEER environment, the chain wheel was parameter designded. theround_link chains drive system was simula ted in the method of joint simulation with ADAMSand Pro/ENGINEER. The method of the chain wheel's parametric design was described, andthe method of the round_link chains drive system was described under the ADAMSsimulation also.It is very important that how to choose exactly parameters of the contact force. Thesimulation of the round_link chains drive system can worked exactly or not was based on it.The polygon -effect of the round_link chains drive system and the elastic deformation of theround_link chains maked the round_link chains drive transmission not smooth, have a greaterdynamic load. Those could be obtaind by simulation research.
