Natural gas Supersonic Swriling Separation Technology has more advantages than other gas conditioning methods. In order to ensure the separating effect, it's significant to explore the affecting factors of natural gas flow and condensation performance in Laval nozzle. The research task is aimed at revealing the flow and condensation characteristics of methane—water in Laval nozzle. The classic nucleation theory of CNT is adopted to describe the spontaneous condensation of vapor and nitrogen—vapor. UDF is used to add the sources of water droplet and vapor governing equations into FLUENT software. Flow and condensation characteristics of water vapor are simulated through solving equations. The results of the simulation are similar to the experimental data of predecessor. The model can be used to investigate the condensation characteristics in Laval nozzle. On the basis of exactness of the model, research on the condensation of gas mixtures is studied in nozzle. Flow and condensation characteristics of methane-water mixtures are analyzed in three-dimensional Laval nozzle. It has obvious influences in supercooling, nucleation rate, number of droplet, critical radius, droplet size and so on when inlet pressure and the expansion ratio of the Laval nozzle are changed. Increasing inlet pressure, the position of Wilson will get closer to nozzle throat, the supercooling, nucleation rate and number of droplet will decrease, the size of droplet will increase. Decreasing the expansion ratio of the Laval nozzle make the same results as increasing the inlet pressure.Droplet diameter affects the separation efficiency directly. The separation efficiency of the fluid can increase with increasing the size of the droplet. As the size of the droplet increases, the centrifugal force increases, it's in favor of separating the liquid from the natural gas.
