Non-magnetic drill not only have a poor wear resistance,but also expensive.With the structure of horizontal wells,extended reach wells,super-deep wells become more and more complex,the wear problem of non-magnetic drill become more and more protrusion.therefore the research of non-magnetic drill wear mechanism and protective measures have a important value for engineering application.Non-magnetic drill has a character of low magnetic it make the magnetic instruments in the no magnetic environment without any interference from drilling tool,thereby ensuring the real measured data,There are many factors influence destruction of non-magnetic drill,such as fatigue corrosion,hydrogen embrittlement,pure strength and piercing damage and so on.This text with the research objectives for protection technology for non-magnetic drill tool,comparative characteristics of non-magnetic drill wear resistant materials,then focus on the analysis of wear mechanism of non-magnetic and the technology of plasma spray welding which application in the field,by comparing a large number of tests,we get a feasible process parameters for plasma welding technology,then apply this welding process parameters by the non-magnetic drill wear actual use in the field have been tested.The results of this test not only can be applied to non-magnetic drill protection, extended service life of non-magnetic drill,but also has certain significance on use and were protective non-magnetic drill.
