Centerless grinding is a high productivity method of precision machining and the workpiece can get a good surface quality and high machining accuracy, as well as its high processing efficiency and lower processing costs, which are widely used. However, many factors affect the processing precision, centerless grinding process selection is involved in a wide empirical strong comprehensive technical work in addition to considering parts of the structure, size and accuracy requirements, production quantities, blank type and size, processing methods and equipment selection, heat treatment and etc. When process selection large volumes of information should be deal with and there is a complex relationship between the information. Therefore, developing a rule-based intelligent centerless grinding process optimization auxiliary system has great practical significance.In this paper, currently centerless grinding technology research, as well as the field of artificial intelligence technology in the application of grinding has been introduced. The necessity and feasibility of the the application of rule-based reasoning in the centerless grinding process selection is demonstrated. On this basis, the principles and methods to achieve the rule-based intelligent centerless grinding process optimization auxiliary system have been discussed in this way C++ Builder as a development platform, InterBase as the database tool.Using C++ Builder 6.0 to the system programming and interface design is divided into man-machine interface, integrated database, inference engine, knowledge base, the interpreter and many other modules. Because of the preparation of a good user interface the software can be used to better guide practical processing.The system has been running tests and can run stable to the environment based on the actual grinding. The earlier process program will be adjusted according to the processing parameters reasoned by the system based on the current grinding process environment. Through analysising the results of testing, it can be indicated that the rule-based intelligent centerless grinding process optimization auxiliary system can be used in centerless grinding process and a development target has been reached. |
