As the developing of the oilfield exploitation, low permeability oil-gas reservoirs start totake large and large proportions in the oilfield exploitation. Low permeability reservoirs are characterized by poor reservoir qualities, low per-well productions, high exploitation difficulty,high costs and difficulty with stabilizing production.Shanshan field is a standard low permeability oilfield in west China. Based on reservoir structure research , reservoir comparison and distribution prediction , fine logging interpretation and reservoir parameter calculation。By the analysis of production method,development formation division, development well grid and well spacing, single well daily rate and recovery efficiency prediction, etc, a development plan was brought to effect for development in the area.As the heterogeneous reservoir Shanshan field is in the medium water-cut stage and the water percentage is getting higher and higher. According to What we have known about the residual oil distribution, adjusting the well pattern will be the basic way to improve the development of the low permeability field. Water injection is very difficult in the low permeability field. So we must strengthen the water injection. Being enough and right in our Water injection is the precondition to improve the development of Shanshan field. Wide-scale fracturing technology and some other ways which can increase the fluid production will be used. These will be the key ways to improve the development of Shanshan field.This article talked about the reservoir description and general redressal of the Shanshan field. It also talked about the inspecting and exploitation of the remaining oil, numerical simulation, the way and experience of reservoir management. I analysed the main inconsistency between the effect of Shanshan field development and what we faced on now.From the beginning to the end, this paper is researching and discussing difficulties and hot spots which the low-permeability reservoirs are facing during the exploration. The research originated in production, based on production and eventually was used to practice and guide production in oilfield. Besides, the paper proposes the coordinate high efficiency exploration made in accordance with the specific geologic features of Shanshan oilfield.And it has proved to be appropriate and feasible.
