Medium pressure rotor is the large-scale axial forging of power equipment's key component, with very strict quantity requirement. The quality of Large-scale forgings could be improved or cleared up metallurgical imperfection by reasonable forging technology, to achieve shaped forgings whose dimensional accuracy and internal soundness meet requirements. Identifying technological parameters by numerical simulation is indispensable in forging production; nevertheless, the simulation of axial forging is so slowly developed because of large calculation and uncontrollable boundary. Carrying on numerical simulation of large-scale axial forgings and research of thermal-mechanical model and promoting world competitiveness of large-scale forging and associated equipment manufacture, offer crucial theoretical significance and practical engineering value.Based on rigid-viscosity theory, plastic mechanics and heat transferring, the forging technology of intermediate pressure rotor is simulated making use of theoretical analysis, experimental study and finite element modeling. The main research of this thesis are as follows:â‘ Thermal simulated compression test of steel material for medium pressure rotor was carried on to get thermal deformation equation and boundary condition for dynamic recrystallization, providing basic data for parameter confirmation of steel's finite element simulation.â‘¡Working diagram of rotor's steel material was calculated to analyze its unstable rheology area, providing significant guidance for practical production.â‘¢Successive computing model for thermal-mechanical coupling was built. The model built solved successive calculation problem of axial forging technology in comprehensive simulation, with higher efficiency and wider application compared with conventional model.â‘£The key technology parameters of each heat were achieved by simulation, and the changing regularities of temperature, stress and strain for rotor in forging were revealed.The study of simulation calculation developed a new idea for analyzing axial forgings, and the simulation calculation for rotor deepened the research of numerical simulation's guidance for practical production.
