This paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter is introduction. This chapter describes the definition, features, functions and effections to people,s healths, It also introduce the different methods of determination and pretreatments in recent years and the prospect to the future. The second chapter is that determination of Brilliant Blue and Amaranth in drinks by modification of polyamide adsorption--internal standard method and external standard method of high performance capillary electrophoresis. The internal and external standard methods of high performance capillary electrophoresis (HPCE ) have been established for the separation of synthetic pigments in carbonated beverages. The effects of seperation voltage, kinds and concentration of buffer and detection wave length were optimized. The optimization of the pretreatment make this method more suitable for the determination of Brilliant Blue and Amaranth in carbonated beverages by capillary electrophoresis. The systematic error brought by the background was eliminate basically by using the blank sample as the base solution. So this method can be used to quantify the two synthetical pigments in carbonated beverages accurately. The third chapter is that the research of gas chromatography steam trap injection technique. The injector and the relative gas pipeline systerm were modified. The research of accuracy was detected using mixed alcohol, and the result show that the reproducibility and the accuracy meet the design requirements.
