Due to the good film forming, flexibility, adhesion and lower cost of the substrate, organic resin has been major film-forming coating materials. Inorganic materials have features of high strength, stable performance, but shortcomings of fragile, higher cost also existed. In order to obtain high performance or special functional coating, different means were used to combine organic resin with inorganic materials, so as to integrate both advantages and complement each other for achieving the purpose of improving overall performance and introducing new features, and organic-inorganic hybrid paint were studied in this paper. Organic-inorganic hybrid paint is a special product that possess the function of two different characteristic components. Their performances integrate the character of inorganic materials and organic polymers. Organic-inorganic hybrid paint is the direction of preparing and developing of new paint.In this paper, the inorganic MMT as the inorganic material, epoxy resin as the organic material. First, modify inorganic MMT with different modifiers and methods, then added MMT into Epoxy, polyamide resin was also added into as curing agent. At last we can get composite epoxy paint. All kinds of means, such as FT-IR,TG,wrapping angle,polarization curve and AC impedance and so on, were adopted to study the performance of different prepared paint. The main work content is:1. First, modified MMT with HCL, then, modified MMT with CTAB, which can obtains organic MMT. Analysis modified MMT by TGA,FT-IR,XRD which indicate it is successful to modify MMT.2. First selected three ratios(0.4%wt,0.8%wt,1.2%wt)of silane coupling agent (KH550,KH560andKH570) to modify organic MMT, and then added modified MMT of 5% into epoxy. After an hour of electromagnetic mixing, added polyamide resin. Half an hour later, brush it on sheet iron. XRD and TGA analysis indicated silane coupling agent had added to MMT; FT-IR analysis indicated that MMT acted with silane coupling agent. The corrosion resistances of the composite paint films were studied by the means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) test, which showed the composite which was modified by 0.4%KH570 has excellent corrosion resistance.3. The nanocomposite of PANI/MMT could be prepared by intercalative polymerization, when polymerization temperature was 25℃, n(APS)/n(ANI) was 1:1, c(SSA) was 0.03mol/L, the quality content of MMT is 1%. Adulterate different metal hydroniums to the nanocomposite of PANI/MMT and then detected their conductivities and at last compared with conductivities of the other nanocomposites which were not adulterated. XRD analysis indicated MMT in the PANI/MMT was stripped; The experiment of conductivity indicates conductivity of PANI was best when adulterating FeCl3.4. Polyaniline/monmorillonite (PANI/MMT) composite was prepared by intercalative polymerization. The composite was added into Epoxy at the content of 5%wt and was stired for half an hour, at last, polyamide resin was added into as curing agent which obtain composite epoxy paint. The mechanical testing indicated that the mechanical properties of composite paint film were improved. The corrosion resistances of the composite paint films were studied by the means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) test, which showed they have excellent corrosion resistance.5. Different ratios(1% wt,3% wt,5% wt,7% wt,10% wt,11% wt) of polyaniline /monmorillonite (PANI/MMT) composite was prepared by intercalative polymerization. The composite added into Epoxy at the content of 5% wt. Then, polyamide resin was added into as curing agent. XRD analysis indicate the maximum MMT can be stripped by PANI in the PANI/MMT composite is 10%; The corrosion resistances of the composite are studied by EIS test and Tafel plot, which shows the maximum MMT in the PANI/MMT is 7% wt, the coating of MMT/PANI/EPOXY has excellent corrosion resistance.
