After polymer flooding the reservoir non-homogeneous is even more serious, the distribution of remaining oil in the reservoir is more dispersed. In this case, the traditional measures that have been used for many years cannot achieve the desired effect, combined thermal carrier and foam flooding that absorbed the merits of nitrogen flooding, foam flooding and steam flooding is an advanced enhance oil recovery technique after polymer flooding.Based on the mechanism research and laboratory experiments of foam flow in porous media, the most important characteristic of the foam were evaluated to find out the best one for oil field developing, such as foaming capacity, half-life period, salt tolerance, temperature tolerance etc.Then, using the single-tube and double-tube displacement experiments to simulate the oil production after water flooding, polymer flooding and combined thermal carrier and foam flooding, and after comparison and analysis, the suitable geologic features and developing plans for combined thermal carrier and foam flooding were studied.Finally, by considering different types of reservoirs that affect the combined thermal carrier and foam flooding, the model was build, using actual injection and production well groups for the aim of optimization of combined thermal carrier and foam flooding project.
