This paper pointed out the jel has traits of low used consistency, low cost, positive effect and the foam has trait of superposed Jamin action, researched the system of foam jel. The system of foam jel has advantages of foam and jel, so the technology counld be widely used in profiling and flooding system.A new parameter of foam comprehensive value was employed to evaluate foamers,which denoted the comprehensive characteristic of foamer's foaming ability and stability to optimise the foam agent. Through laboratory experiment, several foam agent used in oil field were evaluated through experiment. The results of filed test indicated that the performance of foamer is the best when SDS and Ninol were mixed at etc mixing ratio. Affecting factors of foaming ability and stability such as consistence,temperature, degree of mineralization,pH is analysed.Three cross linking systems were evaluated and optimised according to jel time and endurance through laboratory experiment.Because of the inclusive of the jel time and endurance of phenolic jel ,so it can be used of foaming stabilizer in the system.Since the organo-chromium jel can produce an increase in viscosity rapidly with the foam jel system,so it can be used of thickening agent in the system.Based on the reseach above, that further studies were reseached with the relationship of the jel and foam system.The results of filed test indicated that the foam agent has action of prolonging the jel time but has a little action of the jel endurance.The YG103 cross linking agent has a little action of the foamer's stability and the YG107 cross linking agent can prolong the half time of foam.The relationship between the ingredient concentration of the system and the boundary tension were reseached. The results of filed test indicated that the foam jel system can decline the boundary tension visiblly. The profiling and flooding capability of the foam jel were researched by physical models. The results of filed test indicated that the foam jel system has better capabilitys of sealing characteristics and enhanced oil recoverys than simple foam system or simple jel system. The shut off capacity of foam jel system is 25.12% higher than the foam system and 4.08 than the jel system.The enhanced oil recovery is 20.409% higher than the foam system and 13.504% than the jel system.
