Production scheduling system is the center of aluminum industry to organize and manage production. Actualizing the scheduling system optimized will increase the flexibly of the system, improve the availability of equipment, and decrease energy consumption for aluminum industry. Nowdays, considering the production experience, the enterprises of aluminum industry are in pursuit of the profit maximum. They can not reach the best production scheduling and the distribution of sources based on energy saving. Taking into account technologic needs, the integration constraints of storage, transportation and dealing dates, this paper researches on the scheduling of aluminum industry. Based on the National Nature Science Foundation Project under Grant 60634020,the sub-project of , this paper studies on scheduling models and improved particle swarm optimization algorithms to resolve different production scheduling problems in aluminum industry, the main achievement is as follows:(1) This paper summarizes the factors of affecting energy consumption in whole process of aluminum production process, and extracts the factors which can be scheduled to find a foothold for the energy saving scheduling problem. According to the different affection of energy consumption, the factors which have greater impact on energy consumption and signification for scheduling are extracted for study.(2) Using the minimum of energy consumption as the objective function, considering the production experience, a unified ore-burden in sintering and Bayer process model of optimal scheduling is presented in this paper. Contra poses the existence of nonlinearity, multiple constraints and multi-objective, a sort of HPSO arithmetic with gene is proposed to get the optimum solution. Based on the scheduling method, this paper projects and exploits the optimal scheduling software for the process of alumina ore-burden and obtains a copyright of software.(3) Considering the production experience, a mathematical model of optimal scheduling is established. The objective function of model is defined the minimum of energy consumption as the deviation of continuous casting and rolling and waiting time of materiel. For the model established in this paper, a sort of optimization arithmetic of HPSO-LP is presented. Finally, based on the industrial data, this paper makes a simulation and analyses the results.(4) This paper establishes a partner selection scheduling model of virtual enterprise, and the goal of this model is the minimum of energy sources which are consumed in production, transport and stockpile. For solving this model, a sort of HDPSO optimization arithmetic is presented. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of both the model and the optimization method. Finally, sum up the paper, and present the expectation of the further research of modeling and algorithm of scheduling problem in aluminum industry production.
