Traditional refractory fiber dust is easy to be absorbed into the body in preparation and using process, the inhaled fiber will hurt the health of human because the fiber is not dissolved easily in human body, and the fiber floating in the air will be caused certain environmental pollution. Although the using temperature is higher, but the potential threatening of the traditional refractory fiber to the organism and environment restrict its use, so people begin to devote to research and develop biological soluble refractory fiber which can satisfy the use requirement and have excellent biodegradability.In order to improve the forming probability and use temperature of refractory fiber of CaO- MgO-SiO2 system and reduce the harm to human body, this paper studies the influence of SiO2 content, CaO/MgO and the introduction of different additives on high temperature melt viscosity, crystallization behavior and solubility of refractory fiber. The main research results was obtained as follows:(1)The high temperature melt viscosity of fiber will be increased gradually with the SiO2 content increasing, while the crystallization behavior and solubility increased at first, then decreased , among them when SiO2 content is 67% ,the crystallization temperature of fiber is highest and the solubility is best. Besides, different content of SiO2 will not change the crystal product of fiber.(2)The high temperature melt viscosity of fiber will be increased gradually with the C/M increasing, while the crystallization behavior and solubility increased at first, then decreased , among them when C/M is 5 ,the crystallization temperature of fiber is highest and the solubility is best. Besides, along with the increase of C/M, the amount of wollastonite in fiber precipitation of crystalling phase increase gradually and the amount of diopside decrease gradually.(3)when the content of SiO2 is 67% and meanwhile C/M is 5, the high temperature viscosity, crystal behavior and solubility has a better performance.(4)The several kinds of additives bring certain effect on high viscosity, crystal behavior and solubility of fiber: Al2O3 can improve crystallization peak temperature of fiber and reduce the high temperature melt viscosity and the solubility of fiber in Gamble solution; La2O3 can reduce the high temperature melt viscosity, more than 1% of La2O3 will reduce the crystallization peak temperature of fiber and that will elevate solubility of fiber; Chloride (NaCl, KCl, MgCl2) can affect the high temperature melt viscosity, among them NaCl and MgCl2 can reduce the high temperature viscosity, the crystallization temperature and solubility of fiber will be improved by the introduction of Chloride, of which the fiber adding MgCl2 display the optimal performance in high temperature viscosity, crystal behavior and solubility.
