| The tundish plasma heating of horizontal continuous casting is developing in steel water pollution-free heating technology in recent years. This paper describes the basic principles, system structure of the plasma heating system. The technology characteristics, development and superiority of the tundish plasma heating has been discussed, and the molten steel temperature variation been analyzed.Firstly, the parameter measurement, plasma spear movements and system protection have been fulfilled by selecting suitable PLC configuration and control scheme. And the appropriate control algorithm has been provided to control the plasma spear current, and achieve the key variation - temperature control of molten steel in the tundish.Secondly, infrared and optic fiber technology is applied to high temperature liquid continuous temperature measuring system to realize tundish molten steel temperature continuous measurement. It overcomes shortages of discontinuous measuring and frequent replacement of thermocouples. The system has several advantages of immediate responding, long time continuous measuring, low costs and high measuring accuracy etc.Finally, in determining the blackbody radiation based on the level gauge, and By comparing analysis of the single point source, multi-point sources (usually three sources), rod source and single-probe nuclear radiation liquid level, The Multi-point rod source nuclear radiation level measured has been determined as the measurement method in this design.The results show that the control system not only can implement the accurately measure of liquid level, but also significantly improve control accuracy and response time and achieved satisfactory control effect. |
