| Recent years, with the broad application of rigid PU foam in thermal insulation field especially in energy saving application in construction field,its flame resistance property is more and more noticed and regarded by the public.PIR technology combined with conventional flame retardant was applied in the high flame resistant PU foam in this paper.The effect of trimrisation catalysts, conventional flame retardant, foam density and isocyanate index on the foam properties was studied through relative trimer content, oxygen index, smoke density, mechanical properties and etc. It was found that the high flame resistant foams (Oxygen index≥32%,Smoke density≥75%) without employing the flame resistant polyether polyol or DMMP can be developed through the optimization of trimerisation catalysts, selection of conventional flame retardant, adjustment of foam density as well as the balance between flame retardant content and isocyanate index.This paper provides a novel thought and way to develop low cost, environment friendly and industry available high flame resistant PU foam used in the insulation of air conduct. |
