This study inducted and discussed status and trends of the mechanical strength of furniture structure researches by using finite element method in order to present that finite element analysis and the corresponding software are feasible and reasonable to be applied to solid wood furniture chairs' structural analysis and design. There are only an official's hat armchair and a lamp hanging chair as examples to complete this study because solid wood furniture chairs have a wide range and their structure is very complex. However, the research process and conclusions are universal to other kind furniture chairs. Among this research, accordance with the relevant national standards, overall and local structure of the official's hat armchair were analyzed by finite element analysis software ANSYS. Simulation of impact loads on the official's hat armchair and dropping simulation of lamp hanging chair were carried on by explicit dynamic analysis module and drop simulation module. The ANSYS program completed optimization of the tenon of the official's hat armchair's doorpost.It discovered the method of determining and optimizationing the structure of solid wood chairs based on finite element method and calculated the strees of the selected solid wood chair to determine its structural stability and the optimal design to lay the foundation for of the development of the design system. The structural design of solid wood furniture chairs could be more digitized and scientific, which also could serve furniture design better in order to enhance the quality, safety performance and service life of furniture definitively. |
