The hard-drycutting has become the important component of the modem advanced manufacturing technology.As one of the most promising process of cutting, hard-dry cutting technology is becoming a high-speed and practical method in the 21st century.It has been gained wide attention and application in the manufacturing sector. Cutting heat and cutting force are the important research contents of hard-dry machining technology.This research has important theoretical and practical significance.Metal cutting is a process with non-linear and heat-stress coupled. The heat is mostly from the distortion of chip and the friction at the tool-chip and tool-workpiece interface.The big heat source increases the temperature and causes the tool's abrasion.The cutting force denotes the cutting characters. The dynamic value affect the tool's abrasion and the quality of machined surface. So the research of cutting temperature and force is important.Basing on the elastic-plastic theory of material deformation, the thermal coupling theory and the Usui wear model,finite element analysis software Deform 3D was employed to create the Johnson & Cook material consititutive model,changing the friction type, defining the chip separating law for the metal turning process simulation,cutting model was constructed to reflect the high temperature,large strain and high strain rate state in the process of metal cutting to simulate the process of cutting 30CrNiMo8 by different Surface speed and Feed rate,as well as cutting arc temperature field,heat flow and temperature changes in the simulation results are analyzed to verify whether the finite element model is reasonable,and laid a theoretical basis for the realization of the optimization of process parameters.
