Since the concept of nanomaterials has been proposed in the 1980s, their unique conductivity, thermal conductivity, catalytic, magnetic and optical property bring about great value in opoelectronic devices, catalyst and biosensor. Metal nanoparticles have been used as industrial materials in conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion for their excellent performance. In general, the properties of nanostructures mainly depend on their shape and size, thus nanostructures with well-defined morphologies have become the focus of considerable research. Until now, many methods for the synthesis of special Ag and Cu show the complicated process, inhomogeneity and low repeatability. In order to obtain uniform and high yield Ag and Cu nanoparticles, the research on the synthesis and application in conductive electrode of metal nanostructures has been conducted in this paper.Firstly, Ag nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction method with AgNO3, poly(vinyl pyrrolidone, PVP K30), and ethylene as reagent, and high yield Ag nanowires(NWs) were obtained by optizming the preparation condition. The influences of the concentration ratio of AgNO3 and PVP, the concentration of AgNO3, temperature and time on the products were studied base on the results.Secondly, high yield and uniform fractal Cu nanostructures were prepared via the hydrothermal method using CuSO4, H3PO3, NaOH, glycerol as reagent. The effects of the ratio of glycerol and water and the concentration of H3PO3 on the morphologies of dendrite Cu are discussed according to the results.Thirdly, Cu nanowires were obtained using by microwave synthesis. Additionly, spherical and cube Cu were obtained by varing the condition including concentration and PH.Lastly, conductive electrode was prepared with the material of as-synthesized Ag nanowires by screen printing. The influences of aspect ratio and uniformity of Ag nanowires, thickness, and heating temperature on conductive electrode are discussed. The excellent conductive electrode was prepared by optizming the preparation condition based on the experiments.
