The flatness is one of the most important Indicators of hot striped steel. So detect and monitoring the flatness is essential for high quality steel. Because of its features, such as non-contact, high accuracy, high stability, the method of measure and control by using laser and CCD camera should be widely used in industry manufacture.The paper designed and achieved the whole hardware and software of the control system including optical system, driver of semiconductor laser, constant temperature control of the laser, video synchronization module based on the basic theory of linear laser source flatness measurement. In the system, using MSP430F149 as its control core, segregate the vertical signal for the video signal of the CCD camera, the MCU capture the vertical signal, then control the laser constant current driver module to make the laser work in pulse mode and synchronize with the vertical signal. By doing this, the laser will work synchronize with the vertical signal, it will flash when every frame of picture be took. Constant temperature control circuit is a closed loop negative feedback, consist of TEC NTC and control circuit, which can ensure the laser work in a normal temperature range.
