In this thesis, water-soluble macromolecular lightstabilizers with polyvinylamine as backbone and hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) and 2-hydroxybenzophenone UV absorber as light stabilizing functional groups were synthesized, and their application in improving lightfastness of reactive dyes was studied. As polyvinylamine contains multiple reactive sites, lightstabilizers with reactive groups could be grafted onto it. Due to the water-solubility of PVAm and the cationic amino groups within it, the synthesized macromolecular lightstabilizers showed high affinity to cotton fibers and good solubility in water. Novel lightstabilizers with good performance were then synthesized.Two hindered amine light stabilizers containing reactive groups 2-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidineamino)-4.6-dichlorotriazine (a) and 2,4-di(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-amino)-6-chlorotriazine (b) were synthesized with cyanuric chloride and 4-amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine as reaction materials. The yield of aforesaid products was 80.0% and 82.0%, respectively. The structures of them were analyzed by UV-vis, IR, MS and'H-NMR spectra.2-hydroxyl-3-methoxy-5-chlorosulfonyl benzophenone (CBP-4) was synthesized from 2-hydroxyl-3-methoxy-5-sulfonic benzophenone (BP-4) with SOCl2 as chlorination agent and solvent and N N-dimethyl-formamide (DMF) as catalyst. The structure of CBP-4 was confirmed by UV-Vis, IR, MS and 1H-NMR spectra.In order to improve the grafting ratio of the product, the effects of the reaction conditions including reaction solvent system, temperature, pH value and dosage method were studied. The results showed that under 30℃, in DMF and water mixed solvent, pH 7 and 2 hr, the grafting ratio of 2-(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidineamino)-4.6-dichlorotriazine onto polyvinylamine can reach 94.0%, the yield of the grafted product PVAm-g-a was 87.0%. And under 60℃, in water solvent,2 hr and pH 7, the grafting ratio of 2,4-di(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidineamino)-6-chlorotriazine onto polyvinylamine can reach nearly 100%, the yield of the grafted product PVAm-g-b was 92.0%. The optimal conditions of the grafting reaction of CBP-4 onto polyvinylamine was under 35℃, in THF and water mixed solvent,2 hr and pH 10, the yield of the product PVAm-g-CBP-4 was 82.0%. The structures of the grafted products were confirmed by TLC, IR and UV-vis spectra.In this thesis, cotton fabrics were dyed by four reactive dyes Reactive Blue KN-R, Reactive Red M-3BE, Reactive Yellow M-3RE and Reactive Red K-2BP, and then the synthesized macromolecular stabilizers were finished to aforesaid cotton fabrics by dip-pad-bake method. The reasults showed that lightfastness of Reactive Blue KN-R can reach 6 grade higher, better than that of the control sample, and lightfastness of Reactive Yellow M-3RE also improved from 4 grade to 5 grade after being finished by macromolecular stabilizers,. It suggested that the addition of stabilizers can improve the lightfastness of the reactive dyes. The washing fastness of the dyed cotton finished by stabilizers was also tested, the reasults showed that the macromolecular stabilizers had good wash fastness on cotton.
