Coal and gas bursting has become the most serious barrier for the safe production of coal recently. Gas bursting and all the accidents triggered by it hinder the rapid development of coal industry, or even the whole country, especially bring huge lost for people's safety. How to solve coal and gas bursting with efficient has been given a great deal of significance by coal industry development. That the adoption of the effective and proper method to predict coal and gas outburst risk, and the study of correlation between different gas and geological controlling factors that could trigger outburst are significant to the exploration and implement of effective technological measures related to gas outburst management as well as production safety.Trough studying features of geological rules and coal and gas outburst for east mining area of Pingdingshan, gas and geological factors controlling and affecting gas and coal outburst have been determined in this paper on the basis of which risk prediction model of outburst based on artificial neural network and Matlab has also been setup. Respectively is gas pressures,solidity factor of coal,crushing factor of coal,gas seepage coefficients,initial speed of methane diffusion,coal thick features,fault features and coal buried depth. After training and examining the model by practical data, high prediction accuracy is successfully achieved in our study. Analysis model of outburst intensity and gas geologic factors correlation has then been setup. Will 7 controlling factors of the normalized data gives 0.5 level. Linear regression equation of each gas geology control factors and outburst intensity was established.Trough the slopes of linear regression equation to analysis outburst intensity and the controlled factor of different gas geology sensitivity and different gas geology of the correlation between the control factors. It is reasonable to anticipate our study could be used to advance and perfect prediction method of coal and gas out burst and promote prediction reliability as well as accuracy. This thesis also aims at providing new method as well as management direction and factors for mining area anti-outburst work.
