Based on the difficult to large-scale industrial production for the Aluminum alloy empennage, this subject was generated. The Ultra-thin Aluminum alloy empennage has the complex shape which can be made in large-scale production by casting process with the eligible shape and the main part but the insufficient strength. With the mechanical processing mode, material strength and shape accuracy met the technical requirements, but it is hard to make the large-scale industrial production for the high cost.This subject chose ultralumin cold extrusion on radial extrusion technology development of ultra-thin aluminum empennage by 2A12 instead of 7A04 which is bad in the plastic. Because of the cold extrusion way is suitable for large-scale and low-cost production of aluminum alloy cold extrusion. The higher strength of the cold extrusion is urgently needed, which is good to complete the design requirements. Eventually material surface without the mechanical post-processing can meet the requirements.Combining previous experience in mold design and modern computer simulation technology, this subject initial took three sets of mould scheme, the first set of solutions for integral radial cold extrusion; the second set of solutions for points split radial cold extrusion; the third design of composite cold extrusion scheme for many steps. According to the computer simulation, the first set of scheme has the difficult demoulding; the second sets of project has slightly higher extrusion pressure, but demould easy, and the various aspects has been made in relatively equilibrium; The third set of solutions for initial radial extrusion and later transverse mould extrusion, has the extrusion pressure reduced by a wide margin, stripped easy, but processes complex.In the actual trials, with the second scheme for extrusion, the qualified empennage products has been made, which passed the severe test in accuracy and capability.
