| With the development of economy and urbanization in China, the urban air pollution has been serious day-by-day, which has impacted the environment as well as the global climate-change. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-link Bohai sea area in which Beijing is the center is one of the most representative regions. To research the causes of the regional composite pollution and provide scientific advices for the sustainable development of effective policy, the observations of NOx,O3,SO2 and PM10were conducted during the period of July 2009-February 2011 in Beijing, Zhuozhou,Baoding and Shijiazhuang with the automated instruments which conform to international standards. The seasonal and inter-annual changes of air pollution at 4 cities were analyzed, and the differences and causes of air pollution among 4 cities were compared. The influence of the pollution sources and the weather types to the regional air quality has been discussed. Besides, we analyzed the pollution episodes in Beijing with the surface metelogical data and backward trajectories calculated using HYSPLIT model. The results showed:1. PM10 is the primary pollutant in the region. The air pollution of Shijiazhuang is the most serious because of the highest concentration of PM10 and SO2. Beijing has the highest concentration of NOx, while Zhuozhou has the lowest concentration. The concentration of O3 is higher in Baoding than in the other cities.2. The concentration of NOx showed petronas type change characteristics. And the concentration distribution concentrated in spring and summer, the concentration distribution scattered in autumn and winter. The concentration of O3 showed Single-peak type change characteristics. The concentration of SO2 showed Single-peak type change characteristics in spring, summer and autumn, and it presented petronas type change characteristics in winter. PM10 has the similar diurnal variation with NOx.3. The concentration of four pollutions showed significant seasonal change chracteristics. The concentration of NOx ordered by the sequence of winter, autumn, spring and summer; the concentration of O3 ordered by the sequence of summer, spring, autumn and winter. The concentration of SO2 is higher in winter than in other seasons.4. Two episodes of heavy regional atmospheric pollution in July 2009 were analyzed with the surface meteorological data and backward trajectory model. The south weak wind, high temperature and the high humidity are responsible for the pollution. The results suggested that the air quality in Beijing and the surrounding areas was significant influented by the the three cities of Hebei province.5. The surrounding cities have a significant influence on the air quality in Beijing in spring, aummer and autumn. The speed of the airflows is slow, and it gone through the area which was been seriously polluted, and this make the air quality in Beijing was also serious. While the partial airflow was cleaner and it moved faster, the air quality is better. Beijing was influented by the north airflow in winter, for the reseaon of heating, the concentration of NOx is high, and it made a serious atmospheric pollution problem. |
